1. Introduction
Free FM is an online radio station operated by 2BB Creative Pty Ltd (ABN to be confirmed), trading as part of the Free Radio Network. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Free FM mobile application (“the App”) available on iOS and Android platforms.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The Free FM App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the service. We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
Names, email addresses, or contact details; location or GPS data; payment or financial information; photographs, contacts, or any data from your device; health, biometric, or demographic data.
You can listen to Free FM without providing any personal details whatsoever.
3. Automatically Collected Technical Data
When you use the App, certain non-personal technical data may be collected automatically to ensure the streaming service operates correctly. This may include general device type and operating system version, streaming session data (such as connection time and buffering events), app crash and performance logs, and aggregated, anonymised listening statistics.
This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to maintain and improve the quality of the streaming service.
4. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for audio streaming delivery and basic app analytics. These services may collect anonymised, non-personal technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not share any personal information with third parties because we do not collect any.
If the App is distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms have their own privacy policies that apply to your use of their services.
5. Advertising
Free FM is a commercially operated radio station. Audio advertising may be broadcast as part of the live stream, similar to traditional radio. The App itself does not serve targeted or behavioural digital advertisements and does not use advertising tracking technologies or identifiers to profile users.
6. Cookies and Tracking
The Free FM App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or similar technologies to monitor your behaviour or build user profiles.
7. Children’s Privacy
Free FM is a family-friendly radio service. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, no special provisions for children’s data are required.
8. Data Storage and Security
As we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data stored on our servers. Any technical data collected for service operation is stored securely within Australia or on servers operated by reputable third-party infrastructure providers with appropriate security measures in place.
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information held about you. As we do not collect or hold personal information through the App, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete.
